The CCCRF Mission Statement:

The Canine Caviar Cancer Research Foundation (CCCRF) strives to advance research in pet cancer and to educate and support the community on pet health and overall treatment.

Executive Summary:

The Canine Caviar Cancer Research Foundation (CCCRF) primary purpose is to advance research in pet cancer and to educate and support the community on pet health and overall treatment. CCCRF will begin focusing on Feline and Canine pet cancer research and awareness and then later broaden to include more pets. CCCRF will be supporting research efforts in pet cancer research at universities in the United States and then eventually conducting its own research through the foundation. CCCRF will serve as a supportive network for the general public to obtain information, advice, and counsel on their pet’s health and alternative ways to support their pets. CCCRF will educate individuals, pet companies, and pet health professionals on current clinical treatments, and alternatives ways of therapies that are being used to treat pets with cancer.

Facts about Pet Cancer and treatment:

  1. 1 in 4 dogs die of cancer every year
  2. There are nearly 100 different types of pet cancer
  3. Cancer accounts for almost half of the deaths of pets over 10 years of age
  4. Dogs get cancer at roughly the same rate as humans

Possible warning signs pet cancer:

  1. Your pet has a lump or sore that won’t go away.
  2. Your pet is eating but losing weight.
  3. It is hard for your pet to chew or swallow.
  4. There is a discharge or bleeding from any body opening.
  5. Your pet has a bad smell.
  6. Your pet tires easily and doesn’t want to exercise.
  7. Your pet has quit eating for more than a day or two.

How does the CCCRF work?

The Canine Caviar Cancer Research Foundation wants to advance research, as well as support, and educate the community on pet cancer.

  • CCCRF will advance research in pet cancer by supporting research currently being done at universities across the United States and then eventually conducting research of its own.
  • CCCRF will serve as a supportive network for the general public to obtain information, advice, and counsel on their pet’s health and alternative ways to support their pets.
  • CCCRF will educate individuals, pet companies, and pet health professionals on current clinical treatments, and alternatives ways of therapies that are being used to treat pets with cancer.

CCCRF Fund Raising:

  1. Having events in the community to raise money for pet cancer research.
  2. Marketing the logo and brand of CCCRF.
  3. Soliciting sponsorships for events from local animal organizations and businesses like animal hospitals and vets, animal shelters, and other animal rights organizations.
  4. Soliciting sponsorships for events from big businesses and other pet businesses that make their money on selling pet products.
  5. Writing grants for research and awareness.
  6. A portion of all proceeds from the sale of Canine / Feline Caviar foods, treats and supplements goes to CCCRF for cancer research.
